Security operations continue in Mogadishu despite threats

Muqdisho | QOL | June 12, 2017 – Somali security forces in Mogadishu speed up security operations as part of an ongoing security measures meant to stabilize the country.

The joint forces were seen patrolling across the city, mainly busy roads including Maka AlMukarama which is often used by foreign troops in the capital. Somalia president Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo has recently vowed to increase crackdowns to oust militants from areas near the capital after deadly insurgencies hit the country in recent months.

A police spokesman has said that at 15 people have been arrested in today’s operations as security breakthrough being felt since the new Somalia administration took office.
